A Move to be Immutable
Interpreting and Translating a Dynamic Governance
The sphere was used as precedent and prompt to design a Mosque. Dynamic properties of the spherical form - its ability to roll, rotate, and revolve along its continuous surface - allow for an even movement or subtle change of position across any topographic interface. These characteristics inspired a look into Muslim religious architecture through the lens of resiliency across time and space. This project explores the potential for an architecture that simultaneously impacts and is impacted by the environment that it encounters.
