Disturbance Aesthetics + Spontaneous Flora
A Primer on the Floral Embrace of Anthropogenic Plant Communities: biodiversity, spontaneous growth, migration, adaptation.

This primer includes six projects from design and non-design fields that show how spon- taneous growth can be encouraged in disturbed environments. Within these examples, infrastructure is reconsidered as an entangled indeterminate web of relationships that shift towards infrastructure in service of complex plant communities and stewardship is shown as a necessary tool for collaboration between humans and plants. The expansion of land- scape interventions empathetic to plants’ living needs will shift societies perception and value towards a collaborative ecological beauty.
