Rejecting Six Institutions
A Primer for Recovering Spaces of Oppression
This primer investigates six instances of oppressive or regulating institutional spaces that were historically forces of control which inhibited public freedoms, but through time or through the occurence of an event have undergone an inversion to become public spaces. These are spaces of recovery, of reclamation, of rejecting their institutional foundations to instead give them new meaning that turns the victimization of civic populations on its head.
